Samoa

Chris reflecting after four days of relaxing on Savaii, Samoa's less populated island.  It was a mini-vacation before starting our volunteer project.

The view from our fale (Samoan for house) at Tanu Beach on Savaii.  All of Samoa is surrounded by reefs, so the beaches are protected from heavy surf.

Our fale in Saanapu Tai on the south coast of the main island of Upolu.  The family we are staying with decorated the wooden poles with palm leaves.
